Mrs. Parker - English

Welcome! I'm a secondary English Language Arts teacher who began my teaching journey in 2017 with Huntsville City Schools. I moved to the Huntsville area from Atlanta, GA. in 2003 to attend Oakwood College (Now University) and have been living here in Madison ever since.  I believe literature and writing have the power to inspire creativity, build confidence, and encourage meaningful conversations.

When I'm not in the classroom, you'll likely find me traveling, checking out a new coffee shop, attending a concert, watching (or attending) an NBA game, spending quality time with my family, doing DIY projects, or hanging out with the dogs in my life. I LOVE DOGS!  I'm excited to partner with our RISE students and families to make this a successful and memorable school year!
